Dark Light

August is typically a scorching month for most of California and the western United States, so if you’re looking for beautiful weather and unique things to do, San Francisco is the perfect place to visit.

With an average August temperature of around 70 degrees, spending time in San Francisco is ideal, especially in the Financial District (FiDi). FiDi is the main business district of the city, home to San Francisco’s tallest buildings, including the uniquely shaped Transamerica Pyramid.

The Embarcadero waterfront borders FiDi to the east, an excellent location adjacent to the famous Ferry Building, historic restaurants, the San Francisco cable car line, and one of the best dispensaries in the city.

Ferry Building

The historic Ferry Building, originally used as a central transportation hub before the Golden Gate and Bay Bridges, now serves as home to farmers’ markets, restaurants, music events, and more.

San Francisco’s ideal location on the Bay offers proximity to some of the best seafood available. Stop by one of the many highly-rated fresh seafood restaurants in the Financial District.

Leo’s Oyster Bar is another locally loved seafood restaurant. While Leo’s is pricey, the atmosphere and food will create a fantastic culinary experience you won’t forget. So if you’re looking for a memorable meal, Leo’s won’t disappoint.

San Francisco Cable Car

Whether you are a visitor or a local, taking a ride on one of the famous cable cars is a fun way to get around the city. You can pick up the cable car at California and Kearny streets, one of several stops. Pro tip: skip the ticket booth lines and buy directly from the conductor. Be sure to have exact change!

While you are in the FiDi, stop by the 2ONE2 Dispensary, the only dispensary in the Financial District. It is conveniently located close to the Ferry Building at 212 California Street. Whether you are looking to purchase for recreational or medicinal use, they have a great selection of high-quality products to meet all of your needs.

2ONE2 features concentrates, edibles, pre-rolls, and more. If you’re short on time, you can order online and pick it up in the store. They also feature daily specials, and if you’re unsure of what you need, their highly trained experts are there to help you out.

The San Francisco Giants play at the beautiful Oracle Park, located on the Embarcadero. The stadium is uniquely situated on the Bay, and you’ll see boats waiting nearby to scoop up any foul balls or home run balls out of the water. Also, be sure to have some of the famous garlic fries, made from California-grown garlic!
